Eggstra Special hatched July 1991
Virgi started making egg art while living in Japan from 1985-1989. The first egg created were Japanese paper covered eggs called "Washi". Washi is a Japanese word for handmade paper and with this paper I decoupaged an egg. These eggs Virgi created were published in "Sunset Magazine", December 1999 issue.
Throughout the years I have admired the Faberge collection and now I carve my eggshells into fine works of art. I make jewelry boxes out of eggshells, a wonderful ornate Cinderella's Coach using an Ostrich egg, Swarovski crystals and hand blown glass horses. I also make trademarked and license sport team goose egg ornaments, ornaments upon the thousand different designs in my studio. I also create one of kind creations out of every egg possible. It is a wonder to the eye.
Do you have a special idea? I will turn it into reality: A wedding cake topper, Baby's 1st Christmas, a portrait egg with your photo copied into an eggshell for a Christmas ornament...all this and more.
I offer the finest in Faberge style eggs. I use only the finest and cleanest eggs from ranches around the country. Turning these magnificent wonders into works of art. I have finished designs and supplies for the do-it-yourselfer. I sell Goose, Hen, Ostrich, Emu, Rhea, Finch, Quail, Parakeet, Tinnamou, Pigeon, Pheasant, Duck, Peafowl, Swan and Cassowary.
